Idea Factory, Inc. will introduce a first-of-its-kind showerhead exclusively for children, MY OWN SHOWER, at the National Hardware Show, August 15 - 18, 1999. MY OWN SHOWER combines the patented RINSE ACE valve and anti-scald technologies into an animated fixed showerhead on a three foot hose placed at the child's height.

The compact RINSE ACE valve is installed one time between the standard showerhead and shower arm. When the hose is plugged into the valve, water is completely diverted away from the "adult" fixed showerhead to the "frog faced" children's showerhead. The children's showerhead is placed on the wall at the child's height with a heavy duty suction cup. Children get a smaller, gentler spray.

If the anti-scald protection feature within the froggie showerhead senses dangerous scalding water (120 degrees Fahrenheit), it immediately reduces the flow ro a trickle. After scalding water subsides, normal flow automatically resumes. For the child's safety, this feature can not be bypassed.

When the child's shower is over, detach the hose and the "adult" showerhead operates normally. Since the RINSE ACE valve is a permanent installation, it is available in chrome and white finishes to compliment most plumbing fixtures.

Then we put our children in bathtub seats before their old enough to sit by themselves. But there comes a time when children want to be a "big kid" and take showers. They're faced with the adult showers that are too high and spray too hard. It's no wonder why children don't like showers. Now MY OWN SHOWER is just their size!"

MY OWN SHOWER's design features a removable decorative cover which is being introduced as a frog. To satisfy the changing preferences of boys and girls in a range of ages, additional characters will be added to the product line in 2000.
